Here are answers to the most common questions about downloading, printing, and using our free coloring pages at home or in the classroom.
Are the coloring pages really free?
Yes. Every individual coloring page in our library is completely free to download and print. No account, no email signup, no payment. Just click the download button and you have the file.
Can I use these pages in my classroom?
Absolutely. Our license allows personal and classroom use. Teachers can download pages, print copies for every student, and use them in lessons and activities. You don't need to ask permission or pay per student.
What file format are the pages?
All pages download as PNG images at 1024 × 1024 pixels. PNG files open on any device and print clearly on standard paper. The paid coloring books also come as designed PDFs for easy multi-page printing.
How do I print a coloring page?
Download the PNG to your device, then open it and use your computer's print dialog (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P). Choose "Fit to page" so nothing gets cropped, and select "Black & White" or "Grayscale" to save ink. See our printing guide for detailed tips.
Can I print multiple copies?
Yes. Set the number of copies in your print dialog before hitting print. For a class of 25, set copies to 25. That's all you need to do.
Do I need a color printer?
Not at all. Our coloring pages are black-and-white line art. Print in grayscale or black-and-white mode on any standard printer and you'll get clean, crisp outlines ready for coloring.
Can I share the downloaded files with other teachers or parents?
Please share the link to the page on our site rather than the downloaded file. Each page has its own URL. Sending the link lets others download the latest version and discover the rest of the library.
Can I sell printed copies or use the artwork on products?
No. The free license is for personal and classroom use only. You may not resell the files, printed copies, or use the artwork on merchandise, in books, or on other products. See our license page for the full terms.
Can I upload these pages to another website?
No. Redistributing the files on other download sites, file-sharing platforms, or social media groups is not allowed. Please link back to the original page on our site instead.
What is the Cozy Bold Lines bundle?
Three paid options. The Mini Book is one themed coloring book (PDF) for $1.99. The Complete Library is all current books for $7.99. The Cozy Club is a one-time membership: everything plus every current and future theme and a classroom license. Books are sold through Ko-fi; individual pages stay free forever.
What format do the books come in?
Each theme ships as a designed PDF coloring book, with cover, title page, and one page per image. Print a whole book at once, or a single page anytime, on letter or A4 paper.
What ages are these coloring pages for?
Most pages are designed for kids ages 4 and up, but they work for all ages. The bold, clear outlines make them easy for young children to color, while the detailed scenes keep older kids and adults engaged too.
Are the pages also good for adults?
Yes. While designed to be accessible for kids, the artwork has enough detail and variety to be enjoyable for teens and adults looking for a relaxing coloring activity.
What art supplies work best?
Crayons, colored pencils, and washable markers all work great on standard printer paper. If using markers or paint, print on cardstock or heavier paper to prevent bleed-through. Gel pens and fine-liners are also great for detail work.
How do I organize my downloaded pages?
Create a folder on your computer or tablet called "Coloring Pages" and sort downloads into subfolders by category, such as Kawaii Garden, Cute Monsters, Camping Van Life, and so on. This makes it easy to find and reprint favorites.
Do you add new coloring pages?
Yes. We're actively growing the library with new categories and individual pages. The library now has 517 pages across 15 themes, and more are added regularly. Seasonal collections arrive ahead of each holiday, starting with the Halloween coloring pages.
Is coloring considered a hobby?
Yes. Coloring is a hobby in its own right. A self-directed, low-cost, screen-free activity you can start with a single page and one pencil. Like puzzles, knitting, or sketching, people do it regularly for the pleasure of it, alone or with family.
Who makes the Cozy coloring books?
Cozy Bold Lines is an independent coloring library created by Casey, a former classroom teacher, with the help of a small team of illustrators. Every page is drawn to the same classroom standard: bold outlines, big shapes, and a page that is actually possible to finish. Learn more on the about page.
What age group buys the most coloring books?
Coloring is popular with every age, but the adult segment is what pushed coloring books back into the mainstream. That is why the library offers bold, easy pages made for teens and adults as well as children.
